Short Stories
The Victorian (Grandmother's Castle)
The Victorian styled house was built in the early 1900's, had a large front porch with rocking chairs, where the adults would sit and enjoy morning coffee and afternoon tea. The house also had a big backyard where the children would often play games like tag, hide and seek, and kickball. They would also have picnics and barbecues in the backyard during the summer months.
The inside of the home was just as beautiful as the outside. It had high ceilings, intricate moldings, and stained-glass windows. The dining room had a large wooden table that could seat ten people, perfect for family dinners. The house had eight spacious bedrooms, which was more than enough for the families that lived there. The children had their own rooms, and there was plenty of space for them to play and study. Guests look forward to staying at the Victorian, especially during the holidays.
The 'Vic' has always remained, a silent witness to the passage of time.
