Jeanne shows Robert the old camera she found in the trunk up in the attic. He recognizes it's a Leica, a popular model from the early 20th century. He is thrilled by the discovery and tells Jeanne that he has always dreamed of having a photography business. He opens the camera and sees that there is a roll of film inside. He wonders if it has any pictures on it.
Robert takes the film to the corner drugstore to have it developed. He is curious about what he might find on it. He hopes that it might be some photos of Jeanne’s ancestors or maybe some scenes from the past. He waits impatiently for two weeks until he can pick up the photos.
Robert returns to the drugstore and gets his envelope of photos. He opens it eagerly and looks at them one by one. To his amazement, he sees that they are all pictures of a wedding from a very long time ago. The bride and groom are dressed in elegant clothes and surrounded by smiling guests. The wedding looks like it was held in a beautiful garden with flowers and fountains.
Robert shows Jeanne the photos he got from the film. She is stunned by them and tries to figure out who they are. She recognizes some of the faces as her relatives, but she doesn’t know who the bride and groom are. She wonders if they were related to her or if they were just friends of her family.
Robert and Jeanne decide to do some research on the wedding photos. They look through old newspapers, records, and albums to find out more about them. They discover that the wedding took place in 1912 and that the bride was Jeanne’s great-aunt Wilhelmina and the groom was Robert’s great-uncle Henry.
Robert and Jeanne are shocked by their discovery. They realize that they are distant cousins who share a common ancestor. They wonder if this is why they felt such a strong connection when they first met each other. They also wonder if this is why they found the camera with their relatives’ wedding photos on it.
Robert and Jeanne decide to take this as a sign of fate. They believe that their ancestors wanted them to be together and that they left them a message through their camera. They feel closer than ever before and decide to celebrate their love by having their own wedding in the same garden where Alice and Henry got married.
