Eddy and Bear Bear
Eddy loved his teddy bear more than anything in the world. He had received it as a gift from his grandmother when he was born, and he never let it go. He took the teddy bear everywhere with him: to school, to the park, to bed. He even named it 'bear bear', because he thought it was the most original and clever name ever.
Eddy's mother would often ask him about his bear. She would say things like:
- "How is bear bear today? Is he hungry? Does he want some honey?"
- "Did you have fun with bear bear at school? Did he make any new friends?"
- "Are you ready for bed? Don't forget to brush your teeth and give bear bear a hug."
Eddy would always answer with enthusiasm and tell her all about his adventures with his furry friend. He would say things like:
- "Bear bear is great! He loves honey and he shares it with me."
- "We had so much fun! We played hide and seek and tag and hopscotch. Bear bear is very fast and smart."
- "Yes, I'm ready. I brushed my teeth and I gave bear bear a big hug. He says good night to you too."
The Zoo
One day, Eddy decided to take his teddy bear to the zoo. He wanted to show him all the different animals and learn more about them. He packed a backpack with some snacks, a water bottle, and a map of the zoo. He put his teddy bear in the front pocket and zipped it up.
"Are you ready for an adventure, bear bear?" he asked.
"Ready as ever, Eddy," the teddy bear said in his mind.
Eddy's mother drove him to the zoo and bought him a ticket. She told him to be careful and have fun. She also gave him a cell phone in case he needed to call her.
"Have a great time with bear bear," she said.
"Thank you, mom. We will," Eddy said.
He waved goodbye to his mother and entered the zoo. He looked at the map and decided to start with the lions. He walked towards the lion enclosure and saw a big male lion lying on a rock. He was majestic and powerful, but also looked bored.
"Wow, look at that lion, bear bear," Eddy said.
"He's amazing," the teddy bear agreed.
Eddy took out his teddy bear from his backpack and held him up so he could see better. The lion noticed them and lifted his head. He stared at them with curiosity and interest.
"What is that?" he wondered.
He got up from his rock and walked closer to the fence. He sniffed the air and smelled something familiar.
"That smells like me," he thought.
He realized that it was a stuffed animal made of fur and cotton. He felt a sudden urge to play with it. He reached out his paw and tried to grab it through the fence.
"Hey!" Eddy exclaimed.
He pulled back his teddy bear just in time before the lion could catch it. He was startled but not scared. He thought that maybe the lion wanted to be friends with his teddy bear too.
"Don't worry, he won't hurt you," he said to his teddy bear.
"He just wants to play," the teddy bear said back.
Eddy smiled and waved at the lion. The lion tilted his head and licked his lips. He wanted to taste that fluffy toy so badly.
Eddy's mother would smile and kiss him on the forehead. She was happy that her son had such a loyal companion. She knew that someday he would grow out of it, but she hoped that he would always remember the joy of having a teddy bear.
