The Doll House
Molly loved her doll house more than anything in the world. She had received it as a gift from her father on her fifth birthday. He had built it himself with wood, paint, and glue. He had made it look like a real house, with windows, doors, curtains, and furniture. He had even added a tiny garden with flowers and a swing.
Molly spent hours playing with her doll house every day. She had a family of dolls that lived in it: a mother, a father, a brother, and a sister. She named them after her own family: Mommy, Daddy, Tommy, and Molly. She would make up stories about their lives and act them out with her dolls. She would dress them up in different outfits and accessories. She would pretend that they went to school, to work, to the park, to the movies. She would make them talk and laugh and sing.
Molly's doll house was her favorite thing in the world. She was very proud of it and took good care of it. She would dust it every day and rearrange the furniture every week. She would never let anyone touch it without her permission.
She was especially excited when she found out that she was going to have a new sister soon. She couldn't wait for her new sister to be born and play with her and the doll house.
